A bigger island, caves that work, and a smoother editor
Nothing was wiped. Everyone needs this version: older ones are asked to update.
A bigger island
- Everything the builders have painted on live is now part of the world itself: the island is several times larger, with new forests, rocks, beaches, crab shores, a quest giver, two teleporters and the Crystal peaks.
Caves
- Walking into a cave no longer drops you into the void. Stepping onto an entrance used to send your character drifting back the way they came, through empty darkness, while the server already had you in the cave. You now arrive on the cave floor, and walking back out works the same way. Doors had the same fault and are fixed too.
- Caves and other planes have moved to a new place in the world, where they are drawn and saved properly. Nothing in them changes for you: entrances, creatures, quests and anyone standing inside move with them.
- An entrance that leads nowhere is refused, and you stay where you are.
Smoother play, and the editor stays connected
- The game now asks the server for the world around you in a few large pieces instead of dozens of small ones, and waits for each answer before asking again. Panning, jumping and opening the editor no longer pile up requests until the server drops you.
- You see other players and creatures from a little further away.
- For builders: painting no longer slows down as a chunk fills up, and a stroke the server never answered now says so instead of vanishing.
